【経験談】関係の薄い人のインスタに子どもの写真を無断で載せられたらどうする？写真削除依頼の流れと英語のメールにも対応できる方法

子供と同じクラスのある母親に教室内掲示のクラス写真がその人本人のInstagramに投稿されていることを知りました。

その人は、顔を知っている程度の仲のため、今後の関係性を考えると直接削除依頼をすることに躊躇していました。

そのため直接Instagramの方へ削除依頼をしたのですが、Facebook（Instagram）から来た調査確認のメールが英語だったんです。

削除依頼をInstagramに送信した翌日に返信が来たのですが、メールの件名を見てちょっと嫌な予感がしました。

「Report a Photo or Video That Violates Your Privacy on Instagram #（問い合せ番号）」

全て英語です・・・。気を取り直してメールを開いてみると、

苦手な英語のメールが届いたとしても今の時代だからこそツールを上手く利用すれば簡単に内容を理解することができます。

こんな時に強い味方になってくれるのが、Google翻訳です。

この翻訳を使って分かったことは、「写真へのリンクアドレスを送ってほしい」ということでしたので、写真へのリンクアドレスを送信しました。

Instagramからの返信は早い

写真へのリンクアドレスを送信した翌日というかその日の夜に返信が返ってきました。

– Your full name
– The full name of the child shown in the photo you’re reporting
– The child’s date of birth (month, day and year)

Google先生の手助けを受けて理解したことは、写真を削除するにはこちらの素性と写っている子供との関係性を明らかにしないといけないようです。

送信する内容は、

自分のフルネーム
自分の子供のフルネーム
自分の子供の誕生日
親子関係を証明する書類のコピー

を送信しないといけないようです。

送信する際にはそのメールの最初に「I declare under penalty of perjury that I’m the legal guardian of the child under 13 years old shown in the reported photo(s) and all of the information contained in my report is accurate.（私は、私が報告された写真に示されている13歳未満の子供の法定後見人であることを偽証の罰則の下で宣言し、私の報告書に含まれる情報のすべては正確です。【Google翻訳より】）」を記載するようです。

親子関係を証明する書類の例として「Birth Certificate」などが記載されているので、出生証明書とか住民票がいるのかと思いましたが、手に入れるのに役所に行かないといけませんし発行費用も必要になります。

そこで自分と子供の健康保険証を並べてコピーしたものを送ることにしました。
